- Nomination “THEORY” honors a scholar or group of scholars (no more than four persons) who has or have produced an outstanding body of research in journalism, public relations, advertising, media and communication.
- Nomination “ENLIGHTENMENT” honors a scholar or group of scholars(no more than four persons) for their commitment to professional education and efforts for popularization of scientific knowledge about journalism, media and communication.
- Nomination “RECOGNITION” honors a scholar who has had a major impact on the field of communication and who has made a systematic and exceptional contribution to the in journalism, public relations, advertising, media and communication research.
